Babies And Kids 7
My cousin’s 11 year old daughter is into absolutely everything – ballet, singing, clarinet – and, whenever I see a new photo pop up on Facebook, it reminds me of all the extra-curricular activities I used to do as a kid. However, the detail of my memories is vague. Despite my parents taking the odd photo […]
It’s a cliché, of course, but our children really are our future, in the most literal sense. It’s perfectly natural that parents excitedly wait to see what kind of tiny humans, precisely, they have brought into this world, and then seek to shape those humans into the adults they will eventually become. When your children […]
If you’re ever on the Internet, you’ve likely read about the ‘poop baby’ incident, wherein a young father in Kent, England was having some professional photos taken of himself and his newborn son, who promptly pooped all over his father just as the photographer was snapping a gorgeous black and white photo.
Everyone loves kids. Even people who say they don’t love kids have a soft spot for the little ones, and those people without children often adore the children of their friends and relatives. Their bright, smiling faces reflect so much hope and promise, so much unsullied enthusiasm and happiness they make us happy in turn.
It’s natural: Everybody wants to take photos of their children and turn them into stunning canvas prints for their walls – as well as desktop backgrounds, print photos, and possibly T-shirts. We’re proud of our children and love them to bits, so naturally we want to preserve the memory of their childhood while there’s time.
Everyone loves babies. Some people, of course, prefer their babies far away, others up close so they can breathe in that ‘new baby’ smell. But one thing everyone can agree on is that babies often make for a spectacular and fun photo on canvas, and no matter how you feel about real-live babies in your lap, beautiful baby photos on the wall as cheap canvas prints is always a welcome change of pace in any home.
There’s nothing wrong with simple candid shots of our kids having the time of their lives – they make for great photos and great photo to canvas projects. But sometimes we want to inject a little more whimsy and fun without spending too much money, and we attempt to create DIY portraits in the home.
